26-02-2010 ARTIZANS VISIT RENTON NURSERY SCHOOL

The Renton morning Nursery toddlers had a nice surprise at lunch today with a visit from next doors Strathleven Atizans. Members arrived in all their glory decked out in chainmail, swords and helmets. Children and members of the historical group chatted and tried on medieval helmets and crowns. So for a day the kids really were mums and dads princesses and Prince’s as they walked around as knights and Ladies in armour. The children were very well behaved throughout and the Strathleven Artizans would like to thank them for making our visit a happy and worthwhile time. Thank you to the staff of Renton Nursery for their help and hard work in organising a great day. Well done all.

05-03-2010 ARTIZANS VISIT RENTON NURSERY SCHOOL Part 2

RENTON NURSERY AFTERNOON CLASS FRIDAY 05.03.10

It was the turn of the Renton Nursery afternoon class children to be surprised as their neighbours the ‘Strathleven Artizans’ came charging into the nursery in full battle dress. Royal and noblemen alike sat in with the children and had a good chat about everything from medieval times. The kids as usual were not shy in asking questions and in trying on the crowns, helmets and inquisitive about the weapons that graced the lands of King Robert the Bruce’s Renton over seven hundred years ago. Group photos were then exchanged with the children adoring royal crowns making a very worthwhile trip to the nursery to see the wee ones. The Strathleven Artizans would like to thank the children and pre-school teachers for our invite to their little world and for giving us the chance of exchanging stories with the very well behaved children.
Thank you Renton Nursery and well done!

The Strathleven Artizans.
