06-05-2010 POLLING DAY RALLY

After our day out filming and as we were allĀ  dressed in our medieval chainmail etc, it just happened to be Polling day and it was decided that we would use this as an opportunity to get a wee bit of publicity for the Heritage centre and maybe put some folk in the mood for voting, we got a great reaction from the passing motorists as we waved the Lion Rampant and the Saltire on the footbridge over the A82 at Carman Hill, the sounds of cars, trucks, buses and motorbikes horns could be heard all over the Renton as the flags drew attention from the fast moving traffic, the guys even had some of the locals who live at Carman hill out to see what was going on and had a wee chat and a laugh with us, even inviting us up for a beer.
It was a good end to a long and tiring day.

Report by Jim Tannock.
