12/19-07-2010 LOMOND SHORES

Strathleven Artizans have just spent seven days wooing the crowds at Lomond Shores, it was a great week considering the barrage with the weather. On Monday we even had the horse in the tent as the monsoon season arrived in Scotland., then we had the high winds which were hard to bear for us all. The team coped well though and our hats go off to all who manned the event during the whole week.

Nevertheless it was a very succesful week, meeting with the public and spreading the word about Robert the Bruce and his connections to Renton. Photgraphs of many children and adults with our own Robert the Bruce and the rest of the guys and girls dressed in medieval outfits went down very well. Also Jeanette kindly brought along her horse Lady and thrilled the crowds, not forgetting the many children who rode her round the esplanade at the Shores. We have made many new friends and contacts, and it was a well worthwhile excercise.

Bowman Duncan Brown had one of the shops and turned it into a wee art exhibition, it looked fantastic with all his paintings. He was also selling his book and yet again Duncan had numerous sales and contacts through the week.

The film has been extended
