Strathleven Artizans attended this important date on the Helenburgh calendar by accompanying Helensburgh’s finest dancers and pipers to Hermitage Park. Climbing up the famous Sinclair Street, locals gave their support by walking alongside and giving support to the special guests and competitors. Once inside, the clan chief welcomed everyone on this fine sunny day, declaring the gala open and the audience returning the gesture with huge applause and appreciation, then the competition began in earnest. Then it was hot foot onwards to Stirling to the second of our engagements. Three of our foot soldiers were in attendance: Duncan Thomson, Elspeth Crocket and Paul Hunter.
