Jean Brittain visits Heritage Centre

On Saturday 5 November 09 Jean Brittain visited the King Robert the Bruce Heritage centre at Renton railway station to do a article on the Strathleven Artizans and the station.
Jean who is a freelance writer from Kirkoswald near Turnberry in Ayrshire, she was blown away with what we have achieved in a short time with the Heritage centre.
On this occasion Jean was writing for the Renaissance Magazine in USA which covers medieval history and re-enactments and hopefully this article should be in this January edition.
Jean spent a pleasant 4 hours or so with us talking to several members who were present, during her visit we had quite a few visitors come through the door and like Jean they were all amazed with the Bannockburn Ceiling, the Bruce Chair, the Bruce painting, our artefacts and our latest edition the Highlander.
We first met Jean at the Great Gathering in Edinburgh in July and have keep in touch since then, we were delighted that she thought us worthy enough to cover us in one of her magazines and we look forward to working with her again sometime in the near future.

Yours Kind Regards……Jim Tannock.
Strathleven Artizans.
