01-05-2010 ARTIZANS VISIT HAMILTON

The Strathleven Artizans in full dress popped over to Hamilton and raised a few eye brows in a surprise visit to the busy Saturday shoppers. During a very busy day with the local Hamilton public, lots of interested onlookers chatted and took photographs with the Heritage Centre’s finest as they paraded outside stores. Also because of the up and coming election there were visits from SNP’s and Labour campaign hopefuls so the maddening crowds turned out to be the focus of attention. Also campaigning in Hamilton and joining the Artizans for photos and wee refreshment  in the ‘George Bar’ was the SNP MSP Christine McKelvie who attented the Robert the Bruce Heritage Centre Opening ceremony and wished the organisation success for the future. It was a very eventful day as the Artizans gave out lots of flyers and leaflets among the crowds and chatted in length about the Heritage Centre.
Well done Artizans, a great day out for all and a job well done!
