20/21-08-2011 GALLOWAY COUNTRY FAIR

The view of Drumlanrig Castle on your approach is something to savour. Little did we realise that this is a huge event and the Galloway Country Fair takes in acres of land, to be honest it would take a few hours to walk round all the stalls and activities.

What a shame so many bowmen missed this day, as this, believe me, is the biggest and best event we have ever been to. There was so much going on I couldn't attempt to write down the little we did see.

With the personel we had, we managed the stall and all the visitors, but we must say a big thankyou to Artizan Cameron Murray who along with his day job helped with the weapons on the stall. Our new King (Frank) was also magnificent in his role. We met a lot of new contacts and some very nice people during the Fair.

Don't miss this gig next year folks as apart from the days events, Duncan informs me that the Ceilidh in the evening is great as well.
