Christie park gala day 7th August 2010
The Strathleven Artizans stepped over the Renton border into Alexandria on Saturday to participate in the Vale of Leven Gala Day at Christie Park. If the weather was to be a sign of what kind of day it would be then it shined in all its glory and was accompanied by a high August temperature. The Vale folk eventually came out in there thousands and descended upon the famous park and were musically entertained by ‘Your Radio,’ who were in attendance all day blasting out sounds old and new. A mention must go out to our Stalks and tom bola for being busy all day and to our ground troops for making it such a success. A lot of water and egos were soaked in the name of King Robert the Bruce today, giving mostly children great satisfaction and fun as they let fly with the soaked sponges. Top marks goes out to our girls for their costumes and dress as all were admired and appreciated as shown with the amount of photographs taken by the public. Again it was all down to a team effort, hard work and organisation and as times are showing…the Strathleven Artizans are stepping up to the mark every time by displaying a professional and entertaining stall by again reaching out to the public and informing all of the Royal lands Of King Robert and related history in the area. Congratulations.
